The Top 5: January 2015

SAM_0513

Welcome to a new blog series! Instead of one long post about my favorite products, I’ve decided to narrow it down to five beauty or lifestyle favorites that I’ve enjoyed over the month. And let me tell you, that was very difficult! This month I have a lot of new products that I’ve been loving, most of which I’ve done a review post. Without further a dieu, here’s my January favorites.

First favorite is the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in 110 Ivory. I have been loving this foundation ever since I picked it up last November. It’s not usually something that I would go for, as I like a fuller coverage foundation. This foundation, as the name suggests, is very light in coverage. Even though it is lighter in coverage, it blends well and looks so natural on the skin. If you would like to read more on this product, I did a separate blog post about it.

My favorite way to apply the Revlon foundation is with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. This is my all time favorite buffing brush! I love using it with liquid foundations as it blends foundation beautifully. Also, since it has synthetic bristles, it dries quickly after washing. If you’ve never tried any of the Real Techniques brushes, I highly recommend them.

Ahh, my Rimmel ScandalEyes Eye Shadow Paint in Chestnut Taupe. As you know from my last post, I LOVE this stuff! It’s easy to apply and blend, and lasts all day. A beautiful taupe color, this product looks so natural and pretty on the eye.

The Japonesque Power Curl Eyelash Curler is absolutely fantastic. Just one curl at the base of your lashes is all you need. This eyelash curler makes my eyelashes look fabulous. And, the curl lasts all day.

My last favorite is the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Achiote. This blush is a coral-y pink color, which is perfect for my skin tone. This blush looks so natural and pretty on my skin. It has a subtle shimmer throughout it, but doesn’t show up on the skin. It blends well, and just adds that perfect flush to your face. The wear time on these blushes is excellent. This blush has quickly become my all time favorite.

Let me tell you, it is hard to narrow down your beauty stash to five favorites each month. I had several other items that I wanted to share, so they might be getting their own post. Or…maybe they’ll show up in February’s favorites!

What items were you liking this month?
